Food for thought... When it comes to compassion, are you 'being compassionate' by empowering with love? Or are you 'doing compassion' by co-signing the fear.
'Being compassionate' can be expressed by having a heart that is tender, and easily moved by the distresses, sufferings, wants and infirmities of others by directing love.
'Doing compassion' often manifests as showing pity; commiserating and being a fellow-sufferer. We do this by stopping ourselves (insert whatever it is you won't allow yourself to choose) in order to avoid hurting, upsetting or offending someone else. Ironically, by denying and refusing these choices for ourselves, we are co-signing their fear and solidifying their limitation as real and unchangeable.
What else is possible to acknowledge the pain of others with your tender heart by directing love rather than being a fellow-sufferer?
